Action Alert — Contact your legislators NOW to fund wildfire resilience

We are down to the wire, and we need all hands on deck to ensure that the Legislature does not leave town without fully funding wildfire resilience.

At the end of last week, the Senate proposed a spending plan to increase funding for wildfire resilience and other programs in Tier 3 of the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, which many Coalition members are supporting. There is also still time for the Assembly and the Senate to collaborate on a spending plan that includes both GGRF and Prop 4 commitments for wildfire resilience and other climate priorities.

Wildfire Solution Coalition Launches

A coalition of organizations announced today the formation of the Wildfire Solutions Coalition, a groundbreaking alliance of cross-sector leaders and organizations throughout the state to secure long-term, sustained funding for wildfire mitigation and resilience and to fully implement California’s Wildfire and Forest Resilience Action Plan.
